Soulsong #477 – Does Smoking Cause Cancer?

As outrageous as it sounds, smoking does not cause cancer.

Smoking may well be a precipitating factor/straw that breaks the camel’s back, but it’s not the underlying cause.

There is no illness, disorder, syndrome, or even accident that can happen to anyone without first being summoned by that person’s vibration – his/her patterns of thought. That is why some people can smoke cigarettes and indulge in other unhealthy habits without repercussion. With enough optimism, appreciation, and happy anticipation, a person can remain unscathed by habits that debilitate more negative people.

Of course, people who feel optimistic, appreciative, and peaceful are far less likely to develop habits such as smoking in the first place. They have less need for the calming or energizing qualities of nicotine.

Whether or not I smoke, it is happy thinking that allows well-being from my Source to flow unimpeded to every cell of my body. It is long-standing resentment, criticism, regret, guilt, envy, worry, etc., that hinders the flow of well-being and can set the stage for cells to become confused and grow in unnatural ways.

I give up nagging people to stop smoking. Since their health – and smoking habit -  hinges on their patterns of thought, my badgering will only give them another reason to feel bad and another reason to smoke.

I give up trying to avoid second-hand smoke. As I turn my attention away from smoke – and everything else I dislike – I’ll increasingly surround myself with that which I desire, including clean air.

It’s not about the Marlboro man, Joe Camel, or “the patch.” It’s really about thoughts. It’s all about thoughts. Thoughts.
