Soulsong #487 - Why Am I Here? - Part III
I’m not here to perfect myself,
I’m here to enjoy myself.
I’m not here to endure painful emotions,
I’m here to allow them to guide me back to happier thoughts.
I’m not here to go it alone,
I’m here to receive continual feedback in the form of feelings.
I’m not here to analyze life,
I’m here to celebrate, and thus augment, the good parts.
I’m not here to repent of my sins,
I’m here to know that no one keeps track.
I’m not here to explain myself,
I’m here to follow my heart and let others do the same,
Or not.
I’m not here to spiritually zone out,
I’m here to have fun “in the zone.”
I’m not here as a punishment,
I’m here through my eager choice.
I’m not here to save the planet,
I’m here to explore its resiliency.
I’m not here to live forever,
I’m here to know there will be many more trips to Disney.
I’m not here to dredge up my issues,
I’m here to challenge them if they arise.
I’m not here to relinquish my desire,
I’m here to manifest it…and another…and another.
I’m not here to critique myself,
I’m here to let others do that,
And likely ignore them.
I’m not here to argue,
I’m here to know what I know
And let it go.
I’m not here to fret about the future,
I’m here to envision future delights.
I’m not here to warn people of danger,
I’m here to shout well-being from the rooftops.
I’m not here to conform,
I’m here to reconnect with uniqueness.
I’m not here to be boggled by eternity,
I’m here to help propel it via endless desire.
